Summer may be nearing an end, but the fun is far from over in the Cornwall area.

The arrival of fall brings with it a whole slate of cool festivals and events to check out in the area. From arts and culture experiences to live shows, world-class sporting events and the award-winning Pumpkinferno, there is certainly no shortage of reasons to visit Cornwall this fall.

Akwesasne International Pow Wow
September 8-9, Cornwall Island
The Akwesasne International Pow-Wow brings together the best Native artisans, drummers and dancers from this region for two days of great music, food and company at the A’nowara’ko:wa Arena on Cornwall Island.

RCMP Musical Ride
September 8, Maxville
A Canadian tradition since 1876, the RCMP Musical Ride features a troop of 32 scarlet coated Mounties on majestic black horses presenting a 30-minute show of intricate figures and cavalry drills choreographed to music.

1860’s Fall Fair Weekend
September 15-16, Upper Canada Village
Participate in the excitement of a wonderfully re-created 1860s Fall Fair, using 1860s fair categories and rules as a guideline. Public entries are welcome! Join in the old-fashioned fun and games which promise to entertain the whole family.

Crafting a Cure
November 2, Cornwall
This beer tasting fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes is a wonderful night featuring almost 20 different craft breweries from all over Ontario (with wine and cider options also available)! Also on tap is live entertainment from The Shiners, door prizes, a silent and live auction and delicious food to help chase down your beer.

Pumpkinferno
September 28-October 28, Upper Canada Village
Take a tour through this spectacular outdoor art exhibit of 7,000 handcrafted pumpkins all lit at night along a kilometer long path in a picturesque 19th-century backdrop.

Graveyard Golf
October 12-28, Archie’s
Graveyard Golf sees the grounds of Archie’s transformed into a Halloween haven complete with live actors. Visitors are challenged to put their bravery to the test in a haunted mini-putt experience. Show up if you dare!

Ghost Walk for Charity
October 19-26
Test your courage this Halloween with a visit to the Ghost Walk for Charity in the former Metro building on Vincent Massey Drive. It promises to be bigger, better and scarier than ever before so you won’t want to miss it! Be there, be scared!

Halloween ComicFest
October 27, Cornwall
Comicfest 2018  will feature treats, cosplay, prizes, special guests, exhibitors and fun for the whole family! Kids and adults can dress up and attend a market-style event with exhibitors selling geeky merchandise and trick-or-treating for the kids. Free comics will be given out by Fantasy Realm!

The popular Apples & Art Studio Tour gives residents and visitors a chance to see artists at work in spaces across Cornwall and Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Meet the artists, see their work up close and be inspired by the area’s rich arts and culture community!

Fireball Enduro
September 9, Cornwall Motor Speedway
The 2018 racing season at Cornwall Motor Speedway wraps up on Sunday, September 9th with the popular Fireball Enduro – a demolition derby type race that is open to all. The action starts at 2 pm.
