Cornwall Civic Complex Welcomes Local Artist Robbie
December 19, 2024The Cornwall Civic Complex is excited to show off a beautiful new mural painted by local artist Robbie Lariviere. This large window mural will welcome over six thousand guests to the World Junior Games this weekend.
Mr. Lariviere, who grew up in Cornwall and is now an international artist, put his own unique style showcasing local winter sport and activities. One of the most unique features of the mural is the inclusion of welcoming messages in English, French, and Mohawk, reflecting the diverse community of Cornwall. This makes it a truly special piece that celebrates the region’s rich cultural heritage.
“It’s been amazing to create this mural in my hometown!” said Mr. Lariviere. “People have been stopping by all day to ask about it, and it’s been awesome. I hope it makes everyone smile.”
This new mural will be the first thing people see when they enter the Civic Complex, adding a touch of local art to the Complex over the winter months. It’s also a great spot to take selfies and share your memories of the World Junior Games!
