The Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre (CBEC) is bringing back the popular ARTpreneur business conference in a micro-workshop format.

The Centre will be hosting four ARTpreneur workshops throughout the year that will focus on various creative disciplines to help educate artists on ways to further grow their creative business.

To launch the series, CBEC is excited to welcome guest speaker Miriam Schulman, an accomplished artist and art business expert, who has built a six-figure business through her unique “Passion to Profit” planning framework.

“Whether you’re a musician, photographer, painter, writer, dancer, singer, or any other creative with aspirations of making a living from your art, this is the perfect time to turn your creative ideas into a sustainable business,” said Shulman. “With gatekeepers no longer controlling the market, anyone with a laptop and a dream can make a thriving living from their creativity.”

Creative entrepreneurs often experience difficulty when marketing their products. One of the most common hurdles many artists face is how to price and value their work. In this workshop, Miriam will discuss how to overcome these challenges to ensure profitability.

“There are many talented artists in our community, however, many struggle to make a profit,” said Shauna Baggs, Business Consultant, Cornwall Business Enterprise Centre. “Our kick-off event with Miriam will benefits all creative entrepreneurs. We look forward to helping to further develop this important economic sector and provide Artpreneurs with the tools they need to develop a successful creative business.”

ARTpreneur is open to anyone looking to further develop their creative business.
