Celebrate culture in Lamoureux Park
August 9, 2018Cornwall’s diverse culture will be in the spotlight on Sunday, August 12th with the first-ever Cornwall Cultural Festival in Lamoureux Park.
The one-day event runs from 11 am to 9 pm and it is free and open to all.
“The goal of the festival is to promote culture and bring our community closer together,” said Naeem Talat, who is helping to organize the event along with Shoaib Sadiq and Monica Spoila. “We hope everyone can make it out to the festival and experience it for themselves.”
Festivalgoers can expect to enjoy authentic food, dance, art, music and more from Indian, Pakistani and Sri Lankan cultures along with others.
“We want to bring people together and celebrate the diversity we have in Cornwall,” said Mr. Talat.
A number of local businesses have jumped on board to sponsor the event.
