Cornwall ON – The Festival International Afro et Diversité Cornwall de SDG (FIADCSDG) is back to celebrate social inclusion and create long-lasting memories through food, music, and art. Everyone is invited to experience Cornwall’s rich multicultural diversity.  Admission is free! 

Scheduled from July 11th to 13th at Lamoureux Park (100 Water Street), the festival will offer a diverse program of live performances, food, and educational opportunities focusing on various vibrant cultures. The 2025 theme, “Destination Cornwall: A Crossroad of Cultures where Diversity Thrives,” underscores Cornwall’s role as a growing hub for diversity, tourism, and economic development. Attendees can anticipate an array of activities including live performances, cultural showcases, interactive workshops, a diversity marketplace featuring local vendors, and family-friendly engagements designed to unite diverse communities in a compelling celebration of heritage. 

Key highlights of the festival include: 

  • July 11th: An official Opening Ceremony featuring dignitaries and compelling cultural performances. 
  • July 12th: Cultural Showcases and Live Music, celebrating global heritage through a spectrum of music, dance, and art. Concurrently, the Diversity Marketplace will offer a curated selection of local vendors, crafts, and cuisine. 
  • July 13th: A Community Discussion and Networking event, providing platforms for dialogue on inclusivity and economic growth. 

In advance of the main festival, the official 2025 Festival launch will be held on July 5th from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Ramada Hotel (805 Brookdale Ave, Cornwall, ON, K6J 4P3). This precursor event will feature a fashion show, a fundraising auction, additional cultural performances, and the crowning of Miss Diversity. 

The FIADCSDG is projected to attract over 7,000 attendees, providing a significant platform for local artisans and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and contribute to Cornwall’s economic vitality. This festival not only enhances Cornwall’s reputation as a welcoming destination but also highlights its appeal to families, professionals, and entrepreneurs considering relocation and business investment in the region.
