Check out Cornwall Community Museum’s new Website!

Cornwall, Ont – The SD&G Historical Society and the Cornwall Community Museum launched its new website on April 30th, 2025. They invited guests to join them at Schnitzel’s to showcase new initiatives and resources for sharing the community’s history.
“We couldn’t be happier to share our exhibits and collections with a wider audience, thanks to the new accessible website” Brent Whitford, Senior Curator and Administrator.
The website is aimed to make users more aware of many historical artifacts and experiences available at the Museum, such as permanent and temporary exhibits.
It also serves as a portal to access valuable research resources, such as collections dating from as early as 1784 and archives of over 1,000 history books. There is much more than what meets the eye when it comes to the museum, the basement is filled with archives and collections that most visitors aren’t aware of.
An online shop will be available, which will offer books by local authors, exclusive prints by Pierre Giroux, and t-shirts in the near future.
The user-friendly website also includes a special events calendar and access to the members portal. The portal offers exclusive perks for members of the SDG Historical Society.
The website initiative not only showcases the museum’s vast collections but also invites the community to explore and appreciate the historical treasures that lie within.
