Cornwall Tourism Visitor Centre now open for the summer season

The Cornwall Tourism Visitor Information Centre is now fully open for the summer season.
Located at the entrance to the Cornwall Civic Complex and Lamoureux Park at 100 Water Street East, the visitor centre is open seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm until the end of August, with extended hours for select festivals and special events.
The facility is equipped with visitor guides, maps and other handy information on local events and attractions to assist visitors in making the most of their visit to Cornwall and area.
Souvenirs are also available for purchase ranging from t-shirts and stickers to keychains, mugs, postcards and more.
“The location of our visitor centre allows us to easily connect with people attending special events in the park as well as visiting cyclists who park at the Civic Complex before embarking on a ride on the Waterfront Trail,” said Kevin Lajoie, Tourism Officer with the City of Cornwall. “Our summer student Tourism Ambassadors are excited to welcome visitors and tell them about all of the great things our region has to offer.”

Seniors on Wheels
New this year, the Cornwall Tourism Visitor Information Centre will serve as the home base for Seniors on Wheels, a program that provides free rides to seniors on electric trishaws through Lamoureux Park.
The trishaws have seating for two passengers and rides are approximately 30 minutes long. They rides are provided by trained volunteers or members of the Cornwall Tourism team.
Passenger pick-ups and drop-offs will take place at the visitor information centre. There is ample free parking at the Cornwall Civic Complex parking lot.
The program will run Monday to Saturday from 10 am until 3 pm. Please note rides will not be offered on days with inclement weather (rain, extreme heat) or when the park is hosting major events.
