CORNWALL, ON — Get ready to celebrate all things garlic! The annual Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival will take place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Lamoureux Park, by the Clocktower. The event is a celebration of local food, art, history, and community, with activities for all ages.

The festival will feature local garlic growers, food producers, and a special selection of garlic-infused tapas created by the Culinary Federation of Canada, Ottawa Branch, with Chef Jesse Bell. Attendees can also enjoy drinks from the Traveling Tavern while listening to live music from local entertainers.

Beyond the food, the festival offers a wide range of unique experiences, including:

  • A live graffiti mural painted in tribute to the late Lee Theodore, a founder of the festival.
  • A guided See-Way More Heritage Tour with historian Jim Brownell, exploring the rich history of the region’s “Lost Villages.”
  • A Community Drumming Circle to start the day with creative energy.
  • Hands-on workshops and activities like mind-mapping, live art, and fairy-making.
  • A relaxing Sound Bath Healing Session with George.

“The Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival is more than an event—it’s a celebration of community, creativity, and culinary magic,” said Brenda Norman, Vice President of Kozroots Community Empowerment Projects. “Whether you’re a garlic lover, a history buff, a foodie, or a family looking for fun, this festival offers something unforgettable for everyone.”

The festival is free to attend, with donations supporting Maison Baldwin House, which will serve as the official Greeting Host for the event. All profits from the festival will be donated to Norah’s Dream Fund, established in honor of Lee Theodore.

A special overnight deal is available at the Cornwall Ramada for visitors. Mention “Eastern Ontario Garlic Festival” when booking to receive exclusive rates.

In case of rain, the festival will be held indoors at the first level of Cornwall Square Mall, directly across from Lamoureux Park.
