From Friday, June 7 to Sunday, June 9, join the SD&G Historical Society for a celebration of the 240th anniversary of New Johnstown (Cornwall) and the Royal Townships today comprised of the Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry, as well as the Counties of Leeds and Grenville.

The celebration blends the past and present with a re-creation of this first 1784 community along with displays and presentations by present‐day heritage organizations – immersing visitors in all that our region has to offer.

Hosted in Lamoureux Park, the three day event will feature living history regiments, a heritage village, presentations, concerts, re-enactments of the original encampment and much more.

The Cornwall Community Museum will also be open during the event for self-guided tours and it will be unveiling its new permanent exhibit on 1784 – the Founding of Cornwall and the Royal Townships.

The event will be held in the western portion of Lamoureux Park in and around the Cornwall Community Museum.

Don’t miss it!
