Ontario Power Generation and the Native North American Traveling College are proud to present From Log to Basket on Saturday, July 23rd at Saunders Hydro Dam Visitor Centre.
Join Nanci Ransom and her son Tehoriwathe Richard T.J. Point at the Saunders Hydro Dam Visitor Centre and learn how the Mohawks of Akwesasne create beautiful handmade baskets from Black Ash and Sweet grass. This presentation will immerse guests through the basket making process from log to basket. Stick around after the presentation and make your very own sweet grass and black ash bookmark as a keepsake!
Recommended for ages 16 and up.
Workshop space is limited. Admission is free however you must register in advance. Click here to register!
