Please note: A celebration previously planned for 2 pm has been cancelled due to a forecasted significant rainfall warning event. Organizers are still encouraging everyone to “paint the town pink” on Friday.

experienCity is thrilled to announce the upcoming celebration of Ryan Gosling Day, an event honouring the illustrious career and remarkable contributions of the acclaimed actor, musician, and advocate for equality, Ryan Gosling.

Taking place on Friday, July 21st, this colourful occasion will unite fans, cinephiles, and community members to commemorate Gosling’s indelible impact on the realms of film, music, and social justice. 

The Ryan Gosling Day festivities will include:

Barbie Film Screening at 10 am: experienCity is having a private screening in the morning to roll out the pink carpet and enjoy the film with local organizations.

Community Placemaking: Community members are invited to “Paint the Town Pink” – metaphorically of course! experienCity is encouraging people to do some fun outdoor placemaking to celebrate. Community members are encouraged to print off some Ryan signs and place them in their windows, decorate their front yard, and chalk up their streets with messages for Ryan and his family.
