Kaia Kater with Special Guest Mimi Dominique

JUNO Award-winning Grenadian-Canadian Kaia Kater‘s jazz-fueled voice and deft songcraft have garnered acclaim from NPR’s Tiny Desk, Rolling Stone and The Guardian. Through her artful banjo playing and lush songwriting, Kaia draws on influences rooted in Quebec, the Caribbean, and Appalachia, all of which reflect the diversity of her background; her ties to the Canadian folk music scene; her college years spent soaking up Appalachian music in West Virginia, her father’s experience growing up in Grenada, and her recent work in film composition. Opening this show will be Mimi Dominique, a folk singer-songwriter born and raised in Toronto. She is inspired by the art of storytelling and the exploration of melodic play. Her lyrics are immediate and sensory, compelling listeners to join her in the moment. The daughter of two actors, Mimi grew up with the theatre as her second home and began songwriting at a young age. A global traveler, she has lived in Sweden and Montreal before moving back to Toronto to complete a songwriting program and her first album is due out in Summer of 2026. Visit Mimi’s website here.

Ticket information

Tickets are $30.00 in advance (+ online fees) or $35.00 at the door. All seating at our shows is general admission – which means you will choose your seat on arrival. There isn’t a bad seat in the house, but if you would like to be close to the front we recommend arriving at least half an hour before show time.
