Taco Love Returns to Cornwall for Its Fifth Year, A Ten-Day Celebration of Local Tacos Kicks Off May 6th
Cornwall’s most beloved food event extends the Cinco de Mayo spirit with five participating restaurants, community voting, and a judges’ panel
The Taste Buds are proud to announce the return of Taco Love, running from May 6th to May 15th, 2026. Now in its fifth year, Taco Love has grown into the signature event of the Taste Buds calendar, and this year promises to be the most delicious edition yet.
Launching just one day after Cinco de Mayo, Taco Love is perfectly timed to extend the celebration, giving Cornwall and SDG food lovers ten full days to explore, taste, and vote for their favourite local taco creations.
Five local restaurants are stepping up to the plate this year, each crafting a unique, signature taco available exclusively during the event:
- Billy K’s
- Carrots ‘N Dates
- Jet Set Pub
- Viva Cancun
- Sol de Acapulco
As with previous years, Taco Love features two awards. The People’s Choice Award is decided by the community; residents and visitors are encouraged to visit participating restaurants, try their exclusive taco creations, and cast their vote at www.yourlocaltastebuds.ca. A panel of judges will also sample each entry independently to determine the winner of the Judges’ Award.
