In a secluded village near the border of Quebec and the United States, a strict customs officer named Sonia seizes the belongings of Victor, a French chef living in New York. However, Sonia soon regrets her actions when her daughter, Lili-beth, enters a cooking competition with slim chances of success. Determined to help her daughter, Sonia goes to great lengths to persuade the charismatic yet frustrating Victor to assist. This unlikely meeting unites their entire town, as they learn to overcome their differences and savor what truly matters.
