Ghost Walk for Charity returns in terrifying fashion
October 20, 2018Are you up for a scare?
The Ghost Walk for Charity is back for another Halloween season with an experience that is sure to test even the bravest of souls.
This year’s Ghost Walk will take place in the former Metro building at 1400 Vincent Massey Drive, a space that is much larger than last year’s haunted haven. Needless to say, visitors can expect many more thrills and chills.
A team of dedicated volunteers have been working for weeks to transform the space into a haunted haven. Last year’s run in the Cotton Mills area was so successful that the event has already become a must-see fall event in Cornwall.
“We had people who wanted to return over and over,” said Jenn Martin, one of the main organizers of the Ghost Walk. “Even the teenagers who aren’t scared of anything would keep going through (the walk).”
Groups of scaregoers are guided through the walk, with numerous actors and other hair-raising surprises adding to the experience along the way.
Ghost Walk Hours
The Ghost Walk will run on October 19, 20, 23, 24, 25 and 16. There are both non-scare hours and scare hours for the brave adventurists. Non-scare hours will be from 5 pm to 6 pm while scare hours will be from 6 pm to 9 pm nightly.
Passes are $5 for children, $7 for adults and $20 for a family pass.
Trannsylvania Bash
The Ghost Walk will wrap up with a Trannsylvania Bash on Saturday, October 27. Patrons are asked to come in costume or dressed in black for this gala bash, which gets underway at 7 pm. Tickets are $40 per person or $70 per couple and includes cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Limited tickets are available for purchase at Footmed (16 Third St E) & The Foot & Ankle Clinic (1077 Pitt Street) Tickets will also be available for sale during the Ghost Walk production (while quantities last).
Supporting a Good Cause
Last year’s Ghost Walk raised $15,000 for charity and this year’s edition will support Bereaved Families, Rachel’s Kids and Beyond 21.
