Knickers! ‘A Brief Comedy’ Hits the Stage

Cornwall, ON – Knickers! by Sarah Quick is a hilariously irreverent comedy that celebrates determination, hope, friendship, entrepreneurial spirit, and the willingness to bare it all! When the paper mill in a fictitious, rural Ontario town shuts down, a trio of brassy Wednesday-night weightwatchers and a new friend in town become an unlikely, determined foursome that rallies the community to save both jobs and spirits. Could the friends’ business plan of creating a custom underwear business (complete with giant knickers as a roadside attraction) really be the town’s salvation?

This hilarious play is performed by local talents; Shelley Cameron, Veronique Lacroix, Kiana Seitz, and Christiane Taylor.

Josée Julien and Shirley Robertson are the producers, and Knickers! is directed by Ruth Pentinga.

The SVTC is hosting a dinner theatre performance, Saturday, June 21^st. Dinner is served at 6pm, with doors opening at 5:30pm and the show beginning at 7:30pm.

Dinner includes pasta with Caesar salad, rolls, dessert, and coffee/tea.

Tickets are $55.

You can enjoy this comedy at the Seaway Valley Theatre Company, 30 Sixth Street East, Cornwall, on June 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2025 at 7:30 pm and on June 8, 15, and 22, 2025, at 2:00 pm.

Reserved seats are $30 each and are available online at the Ticket Wicket or by phone at 613-933-3998. Tickets are also available at the door from one hour before curtain time, however, it is recommended that you buy in advance to avoid disappointment.
