Marina 200 Open for Another Season of Fun on the River

Cornwall Ontario — Canadians are very fortunate to have access to the world-famous St. Lawrence River, and one of the best places to boat is the Cornwall area.
Marina 200 is the hub of boating activity on the Cornwall waterfront. It located just east of the Cornwall Civic Complex and Aquatic Centre – steps from Lamoureux Park, the Riverside Trail and shopping and dining in nearby Downtown Cornwall.
In addition to local boaters, the marina welcomes many boaters from Quebec and the USA travelling along the St. Lawrence.
“Marina 200 is in a sheltered harbour that is close to, and yet far enough away, from the shipping lanes,” says Tim McNally, Marina Supervisor. “We are a great choice to stop overnight and use as a base when exploring the river and region.”
Recreational boating is a popular activity in the Cornwall area, as is fishing, scuba-diving and sailing.
Full Service Marina with Bike Rentals
Marina 200 is a full service marina with water and electrical hookups. It has full-time night security and fuel pumps are open daily from 8 am to 9 pm. Bike rentals are available from 8am to 6pm.
Transient and seasonal slip rentals are available.
Boat Launches
Boaters can launch their boats just west of the Marina at the RCAF Wing. Boats can also be launched on the west side of the Power Dam at Guindon Park for those boaters heading west.
St. Lawrence River – Lake St. Francis – Seaway
The St. Lawrence River is one the most historic rivers in North America, travelling east from Lake Ontario to the Atlantic Ocean. Lake Saint Francis is the part of the St. Lawrence River from Cornwall to Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, and is recognized as one of the best bass fisheries in the world. In 1958, the St. Lawrence Seaway was established to allow safe passage of boats along the St. Lawrence River and Great Lakes. As part of that project, a number of locks were built to facilitate marine travel. Two of those locks, the Snell and Eisenhower locks are immediately southwest of Cornwall.
