Readers Take Cornwall Returns This September!

Cornwall, ON – Book lovers, mark your calendars! Readers Take Cornwall is returning on September 27, 2026, bringing together readers, writers, and bookish vendors for a day dedicated to storytelling, creativity, and community.

Hosted at the Best Western in Cornwall, this popular literary event invites visitors to discover new favorite authors, browse unique book-inspired merchandise, and connect with fellow readers from across the region. Admission is free from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., making it a perfect outing for avid readers, casual book enthusiasts, and families alike.

This year’s event will feature more than 20 independent authors representing a wide range of genres. Whether you’re drawn to slow-burn romance, gripping mysteries, immersive fantasy adventures, or contemporary fiction, there will be something for every type of reader. Guests will have the opportunity to meet authors, purchase signed books, and learn more about the stories behind the pages.

In addition to the author lineup, attendees can explore a growing marketplace of vendors offering accessories, apparel, and literary-inspired gifts that celebrate the joy of reading.

For those looking to enhance their experience, VIP access is available from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. VIP guests can enjoy exclusive early access to the event, relax in a dedicated VIP lounge with complimentary coffee and tea service, and take part in special activities including book bedazzling and bracelet making.

Visitors are also encouraged to participate in the event’s Book Exchange by bringing along a gently loved book to swap with another reader.

Readers Take Cornwall continues to grow as one of the city’s most unique community events, bringing together local and visiting book lovers in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
