Seaway Winds Concert Band Presents “Dazzling Dixie”

Seaway Winds Concert Band, under the direction of Founding Conductor, Barb Hunter, opens it’s 19th Concert Series Season with  “ DAZZLING DIXIE” on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 7:30 PM at Aultsville Theatre in Cornwall.  Guest performers are the Ruby Tuesday Dixieband: including Carole Mundy (organizer and trombonist), Barb Hunter (trumpet), Ken Johns (Clarinet), Chris Heath (tenor sax), Claude Champagne (banjo), Judy Hart (electric bass), Gilles Bellefeuille (drummer).  Music for the whole family to enjoy, including Dixieland favourites, such as “St. Louis Blues March”, “Muskrat Ramble”, “That’s Aplenty”, and plenty more!!  Also on the program are selections representing the geographical “dixie” area, such as “Cajun Folk Songs”, “Acadian Festival” and “Cakewalk for Band”.

Tickets for the concert are available at Cornwall Square Admin. Office, 2nd Floor, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM or at the door of the concert . General admission is $15 ; children under the age of 10 accompanied by an adult are admitted FREE.

Upcoming concerts in Seaway Winds 19th Concert Series Season include : “Heartbeats of Christmas”, featuring Steve E. and the Pacemakers at Trinity Anglican Church, Sunday, December 1, at 2:30 PM, and “Sounds of Spring” featuring Seaway Winds  member and Euphonium soloist  Michael Mersereau on Saturday , May 23 ,2020 , at 7:30 PM  at Aultsville Theatre.
