St. Lawrence Marathon: Meet us at the Finish Line.

CORNWALL, ON – The energy is building as the St. Lawrence Marathon prepares to return this Saturday, April 25. For the 2026 season, the event has officially reached capacity with over 1,000 runners registered, solidifying its reputation as one of the premier racing events in Eastern Ontario.
As a certified Boston Marathon qualifier, the race draws athletes from across Canada and the United States to tackle the fast, scenic route along the St. Lawrence River. While registration is now closed, the community is invited to head to the waterfront to cheer on the participants as they push for their personal bests.
“With over a thousand runners hitting the trails, the atmosphere this year is going to be electric,” says Shauna Baggs, Cornwall Tourism. “We are encouraging locals to grab a coffee, bring a cheering sign, and head down to the waterfront to help welcome these athletes home.”
Where to Catch the Action
The heart of the excitement will be at St. Lawrence College, which serves as the official finish line for all four race distances (5K, 10K, Half, and Full Marathon). Spectators can also find great vantage points along the Cornwall Riverside Trail to cheer on runners as they navigate the final leg of their journey.
