Tickets now on sale for CAPE 2022

Cornwall’s popular pop culture event is set to make a heroic return following a two-year hiatus brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Cornwall & Area Pop Event – or CAPE – returns to the Benson Centre on Saturday, April 23rd and Sunday, April 24th with a full slate of celebrity guest appearances, exhibitors, cosplayers, artists, panels and more.
“CAPE 2022 has been in the planning stage since the summer of 2019 so Carol and I are extremely excited to produce and deliver a great event,” said Randy Sauve, the co-organizer of CAPE along with his wife Carol. “The community has been anticipating CAPE for a while now and it will be nice to see all those smiling faces and renewed friendships once again.”
This year’s edition of CAPE will have a “Remember the 80s” theme with some of our featured guests including Amanda Bearse (Married with Children, Fright Night) and William Ragsdale (Fright Night, Justified). Other celebrity appearances include Yanic Truesdale (Gilmore Girls), Abby Hagyard (You Can’t Do That on Television), and Degrassi stars Pat Mastroianni (Joey Jeremiah), Stacie Mistysyn (Caitlin Ryan) and Shane Kippel (Gavin “Spinner” Mason).
Building on the 80s theme, there will also be a CAPE After Party on Saturday, April 23rd at the Best Western Parkway Inn & Conference featuring the SamHill Band, a beloved local rock act that performs classic rock hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s with the occasional new hit thrown in for good measure. The party starts at 9 pm and 80s attire is optional.
“We’re really pleased with the lineup we’ve put together for this year’s event and we think people will love it,” Sauve added.
Tickets now on sale!
Event tickets are now on sale both online and at Fantasy Realm (227 Pitt Street).
Tickets are $15 for admission on Saturday and $10 for Sunday admission (plus applicable taxes and PayPal fees if purchasing online). Children 11 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult.
Weekend tickets are also available for $25 and in-person purchases will include a free retro 80s CAPE pint glass.
Tickets for the CAPE After Party are now on sale as well for $25 per person.
All CAPE 2020 pre-purchased tickets will be honoured for admission at CAPE 2022. Simply present your ticket at the main admission door for validation. Alternately, exchange your CAPE 2020 ticket at Fantasy Realm for a CAPE 2022 ticket.
