Passes are now on sale for the championship weekend at the 2020 Ontario Curling Championships in Cornwall at the end of January.

The championship weekend passes are available for $75 each and provide full access to the final round robin draws on Friday, January 31st as well as the men’s and women’s semi-finals and finals action on Saturday, February 1st and Sunday, February 2nd at the Cornwall Civic Complex.

“It makes a great Christmas gift for the curling fan on your list,” said Cornwall Curling Club member John Dilabio, the chair of the host organizing committee. “It’s an amazing deal and a one-of-a-kind chance to see some of Canada’s best curling teams right in our own backyard.”

In addition to the weekend pass, there’s also a full tournament pass which provides access to all seven days of curling action at the 2020 Ontario Curling Championships. The full tournament passes are available for $140.

A world-class event

One of Ontario’s premier curling events, the 2020 Ontario Curling Championships will see the province’s top men’s and women’s teams battle it out for the right to represent Ontario at the 2020 Tim Hortons Brier and Scotties Tournament of Hearts. The event will be held at the Cornwall Civic Complex from January 27th to February 2nd, with the ice at the Ed Lumley Arena being temporarily transformed into  five curling sheets for the event.

The event will feature high-profile teams with championship pedigree, including Team Epping on the men’s side and Team Homan on the women’s side – both of whom just won the 2019 Canada Cup in Leduc, Alberta.

Team Epping features a strong Cornwall connection, with Cornwall’s own Mat Camm serving as second on the world-ranked team.
