Cornwall’s Canada Day celebration goes virtual

This year, Cornwall’s Canada Day celebration is coming to you!

Cornwall’s Canada Day Committee and the City of Cornwall’s Parks and Recreation Department are proud to present a virtual Canada Day Celebration.

Tune in on Wednesday, July 1 from 4 pm to 10 pm for performances by your favourite local bands, as well as messages from our local and regional leaders.

This year’s musical lineup includes performances by: Mike McAnany, Art Levert, Nick Seguin, The Capital Beatles, Sound Check, Roxanne Delage, Ugly Funkling, The Shiners, The County Lads, Shake The Tree with Rodney Rivette, and Epic Journey. PLUS: an interview with Roy Nichol!

Listen to messages of well-wishes from Mayor Bernadette Clement, MP Eric Duncan, and MPP Jim McDonell.

Later in the evening, tune in to CBC to watch Canada Day Together, including replays of the best fireworks from recent celebrations.

No in-person celebrations this year

The COVID-19 pandemic has put a stop to any in-person community celebrations. However, you and a group of fewer than 10 people can still gather to celebrate Canada Day.

Remember to keep your distance from those who aren’t part of your household or bubble!
